The Fanteakwa North District Assembly in collaboration with the Forestry Division, Begoro is organizing the 2026 Tree for life (T4L) Day Commemoration under the Make Ghana Green Project, on the theme, “Restoring Ghana’s Green Heritage Through Tree Planting” was held today at Begoro Salvation Army Basic School, Begoro The Commemoration forms parts of efforts to promote environmental sustainability, restore forest cover and encourage active community participation in tree planting to help address climate change and make our communities healthier for both present and future generations.
As part of the exercise, seedlings including, Cashew, Citrus, Mahogany, Cassia, Bauhinia amongst other seedlings, will be distributed for planting in School Compounds, Hospital, Institution, Churches, Farms and public spaces and as a major stakeholder, you may submit a request to the Forestry Division, Begoro for the supply of seedlings for planting within your community or establishment.
The District Chief Executive expressed empathy for the significance of this initiative, stating that it combats deforestation, mitigates climate change, has economic value, and engages and raises awareness among young people. Encourage his followers to protect the environment.
