Skills Training in Millinery Empowers Local Women Entrepreneurs
The Fanteakwa North District Assembly, through its Business Advisory Centre (BAC), successfully organized a one-day skills training program on July 10, 2025, at the District Assembly Hall.
The training, facilitated by a professional from Kuks Craft, Accra, focused on millinery, with participants gaining hands-on experience in creating fascinators — a valuable skill in the fashion and beauty industry.
A total of 50 women, including hairdressers, dressmakers, and traders, took part in the session. Participants expressed great enthusiasm throughout the training and commended the initiative for equipping them with practical skills to enhance their businesses and income opportunities.
At the end of the program, each participant received a certificate of participation, marking a proud step toward women’s economic empowerment in the district.
The Fanteakwa North District Assembly remains committed to supporting local entrepreneurs through capacity-building initiatives that foster creativity, self-reliance, and sustainable livelihoods.
