A historic milestone was reached yesterday when the National Youth Authority (NYA) staged an inauguration ceremony at the Fanteakwa North District Assembly Hall to formally swear in a 15-member Youth Parliament.
This pilot program is currently only operating in Accra and Fanteakwa North District. This Youth Parliament’s primary objective is to enable youth to actively participate in social transformation, government, and communal decision-making. Their primary goal is to address two major issues that are now plaguing our communities: drug misuse among young people and adolescent pregnancy. This program is a significant step in developing young, responsible, and forward-thinking leaders for the district and beyond. Begoro is once again at the forefront of youth leadership and constructive action!
